Chicago-based rapper GAWNE and soulful singer Atlus have joined forces to release "Take Me Home," a song confronting the reality of school shootings in America.
For GAWNE and Atlus, this song is more than music; it’s a call to stand up against a tragic issue. Their combined styles—GAWNE’s intense rap and Atlus’s soulful vocals—make “Take Me Home” a stirring anthem for change. “We wanted to create something that goes beyond expressing pain,” GAWNE says. “This is a wake-up call.” Atlus adds, “This is for the families affected. Their voices deserve to be heard.”
A music video accompanies the release, amplifying the song's message with impactful visuals. In addition, a social media campaign encourages fans to share their own stories, raising awareness on school violence.
In support of this cause, GAWNE and Atlus are also partnering with Safe and Sound Schools, a nonprofit started by parents who lost children at Sandy Hook. Proceeds from the single will go to Safe and Sound Schools to help improve school safety.
Help their cause and purchase the TAKE ME HOME TEE - all profits from this tee will be donated on behalf of GAWNE to Safe and Sound Schools. Founded by parents who lost children at Sandy Hook School, Safe and Sound Schools is a national nonprofit organization that provides research-based tools and support for crisis prevention, response, and recovery, helping to protect every school, every student, every day.
